                                                  Abstract
The United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP) has been

adopted with the design of doing business with respect for human rights by proposing the
business enterprises to know and show that they are respecting and undertaking human
rights into their practices and implementation throughout their supply chain activities, as:

               (i) the adoption of policy commitment with political will to meet the obligations to respect
human rights; (ii) the undertaking of human rights due diligence (HRDD) for scrutinizing,
identifying and addressing with mitigation and accountability to the possible risks and

impact incurred on human rights; and (iii) the handling and enabling of remedial and
grievance mechanisms towards adverse human rights impacts induced or incurred under
               their business operations.

The HRDD process is one the principal instruments scrutinizing and checking of the
respect and accountability with readiness of business enterprises towards human rights

               (i) the announcement of the policies and principles of a company doing business with respect
to human rights; (ii) the identification and assessment of impacts that may cause through its
own activities; (iii) the adherence of policy committed with assessment induced for internal

and external control; (iv) the monitoring and reporting of its operation on regular basis; and
               (v) the correction made with remedy provided once they are needed.
