and actions to promote and protect human rights in the country. ○ ○ ○

In Thailand, the government adopted the five-year National ○ ○ ○
Human Rights Policy and Master Plan of Action for the period ○ ○
between 2001 and 2005. ○ ○ ○ ○

The NHRC, which was established on 13 July 2001 as an ○ ○ ○
independent body under the Constitution, drafted its own ○ ○ ○

six-year Strategic Plan for the period between 2002 and 2007, ○ ○
corresponding to the six-year term of office. ○ ○ ○ ○

However, the relation between the Strategic Plan and the ○ ○ ○

National Human Rights Policy and Master Plan of Action can be ○ ○ ○
