Business and Human Rights:
The Challenges and Opportunities for Thailand

Abstract

The international community has made great efforts to control doing
business operated by transnational corporations for a long time. United Nations Human
Rights Council adopted the Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights in 2011.
This Guiding Principle is anchored in three main pillars: protect, respect and remedy.
Thailand has reaffirmed its strong commitment to implementing such principle in
order to enhance human rights standards in the business sector.
