Challenges to the Thai National Human Rights Commission(Thai NHRC)
1. Globalization, development direction focusing on economic growth rate, political
structures that adhere to mainly dominated capital power and inadequate peopleûs inspection,
have impacts on rights and liberties, peopleûs living and local communityûs ways of life including
national resources and environment.
2. How to connect efficiently between complaint investigation and legal recommendation/
governmentûs policies and campaigning to create human rights culture?
3. Violation remedial measures and recommendations on the amendments of stateûs
policies and legislation are not implemented. Should increase powers of the Thai National Human
Rights Commissions or not? How?
4. How to promote and protect human rights efficiently and practically: Empowering and
strengthening people and communities for sustainable development.
