to ensure that they are the beneficiary of the fruits of development.
At the same time, the government should accelerate its efforts in
addressing the negative effects of certain industries on the rights of
the people to live in an environment not harmful to their health. It
should adopt measures to regulate industrial operations to ensure
that they comply strictly with the laws and apply the Guiding
Principles on Business and Human Rights for implementing the UN
“Protect, Respect and Remedy” Framework to protect the rights
guaranteed both in Thai domestic laws and in the ICESCR.
