                               Peace Approach and Human Rights
                                    according to Paris Principles*

                                                  Abstract


                           This paper summarizes key issue emerged at the seminar on Conciliation
               to Resolve Dispute on Human Rights in accordance with the Paris Principles, organized
               by the Office of the National Human Rights Commission to educate officials and public
               on  peaceful approaches conciliation to resolve conflict. The papers reflects the
               various points of view of academics, the former National Human Rights Commissioner
               and the judge, concerning the role and duty of National Human Rights Institutions to
               protect human rights.


                            The National Human Rights Commission has to be an independent, neutral
               and strong body, with adopts a holistic approach to ensuring, respect on human  dignity,
               conflict resolution with non-violence and the respect on human  rights in society.
               One speaker emphasized the need of effort by learning and doing together and the
               principle of conciliation including the role of conciliator.
