of the litigation process, and those who have recently joined the
Foundation’s program. They would talk about what to expect and
what would happen in the court. The victims can decide whether to
take action or not. The foundation will also tell these victims that if
the problem becomes unbearable, they don’t have to solve it alone.

They can always seek help from others.”
“Pana” said that many survivors of abuse have returned with
a desire to further support other victims because certain problems
cannot be shared with their family members or colleagues. Therefore,
help can only come from staffs.
In the past, Pana used to think that she had only her family,
relatives and friends. Other people were considered untrustworthy.
But that’s not true. Support from the foundation proves that help can
come from others.
Therefore, she hopes other abused women would continue to
support others and create a solidarity chain because what they have

received from the foundation and given to others are equally valuable.
They only have to think of the victims as their relatives.
“Pana” explains that there are many forms of abuses in our
society, especially rights violations and sexual abuses among children
and women. Dedication from volunteers and different organizations is
needed to help the victims of abusive behavior.
“Girls are highly vulnerable because they tend to be weak in
strength, lack knowledge or protection. We have to ensure that they
are aware of the harms, how to avoid them, and how to protect them-

selves. Sexual abuse is mostly caused by people who befriended the
victims using their relations to the girl’s brother or father rather than
outsiders.”
Pana resigned from being a school teacher for children with
autism in order to take care of her mother who is suffering from
